In response to PWI 2018-291 regarding traffic calming for a number of roads in Caledon East.
Transportation staff have reviewed the recent traffic data, and undertook analyses to determine appropriate actions. Attached are the summary of findings and recommendations.
Finally, changing driver’s behaviour through road design, albeit its passive and temporary nature, is what Town Staff are striving to improve. Later this year, Town Staff will initiate a Town-wide Traffic Calming Strategy to investigate new technologies and procedures to calm traffic effectively and smartly. Once this study website launches, we can pass on to you and the communities.
